Special Form (HO-3). Insures your home of the perils mentioned above, along with other perils except war, flood, nuclear hazards and earthquake. Homeowners Policy for Renters (HO-4). If you are renting a house or an apartment, this policy insures your personal belongings, household furniture and offers additional liability coverage, living expense and medical payments along with the perils in HO-2. Condomiunium Policy (HO-6). HO-6 is a policy especially designed for condominium unit owners to insure personal property and other alterations not included in the condominium association. This policy covers everything in HO-2 along with personal liability and medical payments. Actual Cash Value Policy (HO-8). This is a policy designed for older homes wherein replacement largely exceeds the market value. It usually provides for commonly used materials which can be used for reconstructing of the property to its serviceable condition.
Other coverage that can additionally be provided in your policy include personal liability, where you are insured for damages you or a member in your family caused caused; medical payment, to insure you from accidents that can happen within your property of home; flood insurance, which covers flooding in flood-prone areas; and additional living expenses, where you are provided living expenses should your home becomes temporarily uninhabitable for one reason or another.
